You can use this product for the following purposes:

Listen to FM/AM radio, MP3 players and other audio devices

Charging USB compatible devices

BLUETOOTH audio transmission®activated devices

INSERTING/REMOVING AAA BATTERIES

See Figure 1, page 9.

It is advisable to write down saved channels before replacing AAA batteries.

AAA batteries need to be replaced within 15 seconds. If the batteries are not replaced within 15 seconds the radio will lose all previously saved settings and will need to be reprogrammed.

Always use new alkaline batteries for replacement.

Danger of explosion if battery is changed incorrectly. Replace only with same or equivalent type.

Remove the battery if installed.

Loosen the screw on the battery compartment cover. Remove the door and set it aside.

Insert two new AAA batteries according to the polarity indicators inside the battery compartment.

USE:Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.

Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure it.

INSERTING/REMOVING THE BATTERY PACK

See Figure 2, page 9.

To install the battery:

Insert the battery into the radio and align the rib on the battery with the groove in the battery compartment.

Before operation, ensure the battery latches are engaged and the battery is secure in the radio.

OPERATION

Press the latches to remove the battery.

USE:Always remove the battery from the radio when not in use.

FOLDABLE FLEXIBLE ANTENNA

To reduce interference or electrical noise, extend the antenna or move the radio higher. The antenna folds away and stays out of the way when not in use.

LCD SCREEN

When a battery is installed and the radio is switched on, the LCD display shows the time, frequency, mode and settings. If the battery is removed and AAA batteries are installed, the LCD display will only show the time.

USE:The LCD display images shown in this manual are only examples of the frequencies you may see on your radio and are not the exact frequencies you may wish to hear.

MENU NAVIGATION BUTTONS

See Figure 3, page 9.

Use the menu navigation keys to turn the radio on and off, adjust the volume, change frequencies, switch modes and set the time.

TURNING THE RADIO ON AND OFF:

Press the power button to turn the radio on and off.

When the radio is powered on and a battery is installed, the battery icon will appear on the LCD screen. When the battery charge is low, a flashing battery indicator is displayed.

ADJUSTING THE VOLUME:

When the radio is turned on, the device will return to the last used volume setting.

To increase the volume, press the buttonVO+Knopf.

To decrease the volume, press the buttonVOL-Knopf.

MODE SELECTION:

USE:On power up, the radio will return to the last used mode if the battery has not been disconnected. In the event of a power failure to the radio, the display will automatically switch to FM mode.

FM/AM-TUNE:

ÖSCANThe left and right arrow keys are used to set the desired radio frequency. The selected frequency is displayed on the LCD.

Briefly press the left arrow button to tune to a lower frequency. Briefly press the right arrow button to set a higher frequency.

Quickly press (do not hold) either button to set one frequency step at a time.

To reduce interference or electrical noise, adjust the antenna position or move the radio higher.

SAVING A PRESET TO MEMORY:

The memory function stores up to 20 frequencies as presets in the radio's memory. You can store up to ten (10) frequencies each for FM and AM mode.

Tune to the desired FM or AM frequency.

Hold down theDEFAULTuntil the word “MEMORY” and the preset position number flash on the screen.

strainSCANleft and right arrow keys to select a preset position number.

USE:There are ten (10) preset positions for FM and ten (10) for AM. Only one station can be stored in each preset position.

SET PRESETS (FM OR AM MODE):

Press and releaseDEFAULTto scroll through each preset position number and associated frequency.

SETTING THE CLOCK:

The time appears on the LCD display when the radio is on.

Hold down theCLK/DSPYHold down until the hour digits start flashing.

strainVO+orVOL-button to select the time.

USE:The time is only displayed in 12-hour format. To select a time after noon and before midnight, switch the hours until "PM" appears in the display.

Press and releaseCLK/DSPYbutton to lock the time setting. "Minutes" starts flashing.

strainVO+orVOL-key to select the desired number.

Press and releaseCLK/DSPYpress again to confirm the time.

USE OF A TELEPHONE/MP3 PLAYER (NOT INCLUDED) WITH THE RADIO

See Figure 4, page 10.

The device can be held in position with the strap.

Connect the auxiliary cable (not included) to the device.

The phone/mp3 player must be on and in play mode for sound to be heard through the speakers.

All phone/MP3 player controls can be used normally while connected to the radio.

USE:The volume of each device connected via the Aux cable can be adjusted with the volume control

USING A BLUETOOTH®DEVICE ACTIVATED (NOT INCLUDED) WITH THE RADIO

See Figure 5, page 10.

When the radio is switched to BLUETOOTH®mode, the device attempts to pair with a BLUETOOTH®Device activated and “bt” flashes on the LCD display.

USE:The radio will automatically attempt to connect to the last paired device. If no connection can be established within five seconds, the radio becomes available for another BLUETOOTH®activated devices.

BLUETOOTH®enabled devices must be within 30 feet of the radio and set to search/scan to pair with the radio.

Select "RYOBI Radio" from the list of available BLUETOOTH devices®Signals to pair the device and radio. No password or PIN is required to connect.

When the device is successfully paired with the radio, “bt” will stop flashing.

USE:When a device is paired with the radio, the information for connecting to the device is stored in the radio's memory.

When streaming audio from a BLUETOOTH®Device activated, press buttonSCANleft and right arrow keys to go to the previous or next track. Briefly press and release the buttonDEFAULTto toggle between pausing and playing the audio.

USE:BLUETOOTH may not support these controls®Device and/or application you are using.

Todos BLUETOOTH®enabled device controls can be used normally while paired with the radio.

USE:The volume of each device paired with the radio can be adjusted using the volume control on that device or the button on the radio.VO+orVOL-Knopf.

USING THE DEDICATED USB CHARGING PORT

The dedicated USB charging port provides 5 volt DC charging at up to 1 amp for your mobile phone, MP3 player or other USB device.

TO NOTICE:

Attempting to charge devices with more than 1A, such as a tablet, can damage the dedicated USB charging port and/or the device.

Connect one end of a USB cable (not supplied) to your USB device.
